There isn't an easy answer on what to do with Antonio Brown and the Pittsburgh Steelers situation. I am in love with the absurdity of this story with everything that is surrounding it with the difficulty associated with making a decision in this modern day NFL.

What exactly is the right move? I don't know that anyone can tell you 100% but if you haven't been paying attention. Antonio Brown didn't play in the final game of the season against the Bengals for the Steelers.

Initially reports were that he was not healthy. It now appears pretty clear that the Pittsburgh Steelers lied about Antonio Brown not being healthy and really he just didn't show up.

After a Wednesday dispute in practice where he got mad at Ben Roth at Ben Rothlesberger and maybe also Mike Tomlin. The result is we've got no earthly idea what the actual decision making is going to be.

But this is a messy situation. Antonio Brown has left the team three times since August not shown up for a lot of meetings. He's been difficult with the media.

If you remember before the season started, he got kind of snippy with the media. He also sent out a tweet before the season started saying trade me then.

And it doesn't really make any sense what exactly is going on unless you realize maybe Antonio Brown turning 30 years old is uncomfortable with the fact that juju Smith Schuster is starting to rise up on the on the flow chart of importance this year in his second year.

Smith Schuster had 111 catches for 1426 yards, which is a hell of a season. And maybe he's starting to think that he is a little bit of a of an expendable player. Now here's where this situation becomes so epically absurd.

Brown right now is 30 years old and he's ending about to enter into the third year of a five year 72.7 million dollar contract extension.

So right now Brown has a salary cap hit of 22.1 million this year. And if he's off the roster, the Steelers take on responsibility for over 21 million dollars.
