I see a great parallel, a congruent of similarities, if you will, between

Juneteenth and the current state of Christendom, especially Western

hemisphere Christianity. Now this might be education to some, but then a reminder

to others, but just bear with me as I attempt to articulate why I believe there

is not a great gulf between Juneteenth and the Christian faith. Y'all ready for

this? Okay, quick history lesson. On September the 22nd of 1862, during the

Civil War Abraham Lincoln set forth an emancipation proclamation which is the

freeing of the slaves. This however did not go in effect until January 1st of 1863.

But the slaves down south didn't get the memo. There were certain slave owners

that did not want to let their slaves know that they're free. Okay, now about

getting trouble. In a similar fashion, there are a lot of religious sectors,

religious churches, here we go, spiritual leaders that do not want to let us

know the freedom that we have. Nor do they want us to operate in biblical

intelligence because if I start to read the Bible for myself, if I start to have

my own relationship, y'all don't want to talk to me with God myself, I will no

longer tolerate your spiritual and taken scripture out of context abuse. They

didn't want to let the slaves know that they have been said free just like

some churches. Don't see like I can get you to idolize me if I don't point to

him. You know how many people are fans of their pastor? Like fans of the church?
