0:10.5 | you know, wrestler in his own right. And then he's become a very accomplished wrestling coach |
0:14.4 | at the University of Minnesota. And again, we're going to jump into this podcast here |
0:19.2 | in a second. And we're going to get into him talking about both his wrestling career and also coaching. And one of the things that I really |
0:25.4 | enjoyed about this podcast or talking to him was, even though the sports are different, |
0:30.6 | they're kind of cousin sports, right? Like wrestling and judicious, they're kind of, they're almost |
0:34.0 | like related. And there's so many similarities similarities like there's a lot of things that he |
0:38.6 | touches on it talks about in his own words that we've had so many high level world champions |
0:43.4 | myself others talk about in relation to jih Tzu he even talks about how they train their types of |
0:51.0 | practices how they do techniques how they do do live drilling, all that stuff. |
0:55.6 | The stuff that I think is interesting because, you know, you're talking about a sport that's |
1:00.1 | a bit more developed than jiu-jitsu, right? Because it's had more money, more funding, |
1:06.8 | pouring into it for a longer period of time. And so, you know, wrestling in America is far more develops than |
1:13.5 | Jiu-Jitsu in America. |
1:14.3 | Jiu-Jitsu is coming a long way and everything's good and great. |
1:16.4 | But as far as the training, sort of the way that we train, it's coming a long way. |
1:22.0 | And we've made a lot of progress, especially in the last few years. |
1:25.1 | But again, you get to hear how they talk about training. |
1:31.6 | And some of it's going to seem very similar to you guys who are in gyms that do a lot of the same stuff. |
1:35.2 | And then some of you guys, maybe you're listening to this and maybe be a little bit different. But anyway, cool stuff. |
1:36.6 | Hopefully you guys enjoy the podcast and are able to take a couple ideas away for your grappling for your jihitsu. |
