Last year, we did an episode on artist Tyrus Wong, who was instrumental in developing the look and feel for

Disney's Bambi, along with creating just a prolific amount of other really beautiful work across

multiple media. Wong had been brought to the United States as a child at a time when the

Chinese Exclusion Act banned immigration to the United States from China.

And one of the things we talked about in that episode was how a Supreme Court case called United States v. Wang Kim Ark had affected how the U.S. could enforce the Chinese Exclusion Act.
