Andy, I am really excited about today's podcast.

We talked a little bit about this topic a couple of years ago, but recently I heard you

teach an entire session on it and as usual, the more you think about something, the richer

the insights get.

So today we'll start a two-part conversation on the importance of uniquely better.

Yalena, as we talked about several episodes ago on the podcast, when we hit year 20,

which was two years ago, actually, this month, we did some evaluating and we asked the

question as we've talked about, we asked the question, if we had it to do all over again,

what would we do all over again?

And that discussion led to some great insights that we've talked about, but it also led

to this question, why did our organization grow so fast at the beginning?

Because 22 years ago, we couldn't keep up.

We changed our budgets every four to six months for a couple of years.

We had people all over the place, we couldn't hire fast enough.

And so, you know, a couple of years ago, when we were doing this evaluation, we asked

the question, what was going on then that clearly is not going on now?

And we're growing, but we're growing incrementally.

Back then, we grew explosively.

So we asked the question that a lot of entrepreneurs ask and a lot of startups ask years later,

hey, is there any way to recapture that momentum?
