After being postponed for the first time in history because of the pandemic, the Summer

Olympics are back on in Tokyo, Japan.

It's an exciting time for the 11,000 athletes who have worked and trained so hard to finally

It is an exciting time, but the pandemic has definitely cast a shadow over the games.

The games began as people in Tokyo protested them going on in the midst of a COVID surge.

And already, some athletes and Olympic staff have tested positive for COVID, and many others have decided not even to attend.
