Kind of piggybacking on the one we just read,

and I know you're not going to be able to

retain all of this. That's okay. You can go back and listen to it. But Christification is the most

mature outworking and the ultimate intention of regeneration. This is a matter of yielding to the

grace to unearth a new way of being human, a divine humanity.

Jesus did not simply save the old you.

He mystically buried the old you with himself when he came out of the grave and he brought us with him.

Jesus reformed what it means to be human, and we should never in light of that

truth settle for being Christian. Jesus reformed what it means to be human, and we should never

generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people called to radiate his glorious

wonders throughout the cosmos. One of the things that I wanted you to start thinking in terms of,

and we'll take a couple of questions, but one of the things I wanted you to start thinking in terms of was language that we probably don't use a lot.

On a regular basis, you're going to hear the term Christian.

On an occasional basis, you'll hear the term body of Christ.

But I want to make a distinction that's helped my own heart because of all of the exterior nuances

that come with what it means to be a Christian. And I say the problem with being called Christians

is now the head of Christianity is another Christian, or one claiming to be Christian. But the head of the body of

Christ will always be Christ. And when we lose our way is when we fall under alternative headship,

and now we're able to act in a way that Christians act, because we've fallen under the heading of
