thing to do because I'm showing him that no matter what he may face, I love him. The sculpture

also has a deeper meaning of me, not just giving him a literal sculpture of a heart, but a metaphor

for me giving him my heart. Portia thinks that because I didn't know my boyfriend while he was

going through this, and she did, that she has a better understanding of what my boyfriend

will think of the present. Obviously, I disagree. We were going around in circles.

Both of us were getting frustrated and she wasn't budging on her stance, so eventually I said it's probably not a good idea for her to attend the dinner.
