Hello and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the no-chit-chat podcast.

We'd like to get right into it.

And what we're going to get right into today is, I'm sure you know this, it's the first

anniversary of Joe Biden's presidential inauguration.

He has been president of the United States for one year.

And you know it's a special occasion because he's going to do something he almost never,

ever, ever does, which is actually hold a press conference.

So that's big for him.

But put that aside for a moment.

It's also another anniversary.

It is the anniversary of the first year of unified democratic control in Washington.

House, Senate, White House.

Now it is controlled by the barest of margins.

Democrats have a tiny five-seat advantage in the House.

When you say they have a advantage of a handful of seats, they really do.

It's a handful of seats in the House.

And a non-existent majority in the 50-50 Senate.

They have control only because Vice President Kamal Harris can break ties.

So it is tenuous control, but it's still control, and of course they have the White House

with President Biden.

So you've had one year of unified government, of control, of Democrats, of the legislative

and the executive branch, and it has been a disaster for Democrats.
