Summary

Welcome to my devotional, Grace for a Mom’s Heart!  In the weeks ahead, I will be reading from my devotional Unhurried Grace for a Mom’s Heart-31 Days in God’s Word (available on Amazon *aff link)) Each devotional is less than 10 minutes long. I’ll start by reading a short scripture passage and then share some thoughts from my own heart as written in my devotional.  I will ask some questions at the end to help you dig deeper and then end in prayer.  Printed copies of this devotional are available on Amazon for just $8.99 (*aff link) What we are doing at home is of the utmost importance. We must not let the enemy distract us from our high calling. As mission-minded moms, we understand the threat we pose to the enemy’s kingdom and we stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. We don’t let culture or the voices of condemnation influence our decisions. Instead, we stay the course, setting our faces like flint.  I don’t know about you, but I have been struggling HARD. Around us, there is hatred, division, and issues that are polarizing and downright frightening. In times like these, it is essential that we are grounded daily in God’s word so we can better know HIs comfort, discern His voice, and receive the wisdom that can only come from Him!

Dear moms, this devotional came about quite unexpectedly.

1:22.4

I started a podcast with the simple intention of sharing from each chapter of my book,

1:23.8

The Unhurried Homestroller.

1:29.1

However, as I began to write out my notes for each podcast, God would clearly lay his word and an application on my heart concerning moms, especially homeschooling moms.

1:35.4

I thought it was a fluke with the first one or two, but it continued steadily, and I realized

1:41.2

he just might want me to bring a word from him to moms. My husband and I have

1:47.3

eight kids and we've been parents for 29 years. I've always stayed at home and we homeschooled

1:55.2

our children from the beginning. Along the way, I often wondered if I should be doing something else

2:00.7

in addition to motherhood,

2:02.2

like some kind of ministry. But every time I prayed about it, God would whisper,

2:07.1

keep your hand to the plow. There was peace in that simple answer for me. Isn't it just like God

2:14.1

to lift those self-made burdens and give us a yoke that is perfectly fitted for us?

2:20.2

I love this passage in Matthew 11, 28 to 30. This is the message Bible translation. Are you tired,

2:28.3

worn out, burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take
