own heart as written in my devotional. I'll then ask some questions at the

Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands.

If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. Go and tell them, return to your tents.

But you stand here with me so I can give you all my commands, decrees, and regulations.

You must teach them to the people so that they can obey them in the land that I am giving them as their possession. So Moses told the

people, you must be careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God, following his instructions

in every detail. Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow.

Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

If something is new, it's tempting to think it must be better. But Ecclesiastes 1-9 tells us history

merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.

It is human nature to recoil against tradition and boundaries. Some of them need to be questioned, while others should be done away with,

but certain boundaries are vital for our health. God explains this concept in Jeremiah 616.

This is what the Lord says. Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way and walk in it. Travel its path,

and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, no, that's not the road we want.
