Classroom management feels different this year, and the Bored Teachers crew is saying it out loud. In this episode, Leslie, Bri, and Miss L break down the strategies that actually work when your students are loud, chaotic, unpredictable, and endlessly loveable. From resetting expectations to building routines that stick, they share real examples from their own classrooms — including PTO systems, class economies, workplace models, and the small changes that make a big difference.

The conversation gets honest about the challenges teachers are facing right now: inconsistency, shifting behaviors, emotional exhaustion, and how hard it is to teach when your tried-and-true methods suddenly stop working. They unpack what it means to remove emotion, stay consistent, and set clear boundaries, all while laugh-crying through stories about messy desks, hallway chaos, and one truly iconic water-spill wardrobe change.

Whether you teach kindergarten or high school, this episode gives you practical tools, new ideas, and the reassurance that you are not the only one feeling the shift this year. Drop your best classroom management strategies in the comments.

How long are the rotations? Every two weeks. The two rules that change, like, the entire game was, you can't call my name and we don't talk in the hallway. Kids think maybe that they like chaos, but they don't. And if you don't pay a touch on my back, are you cheating? But the thing is, the thing is, I'm going to put a zero in if you're too. I'm right. Don't, I, I, don't. They don't. You don't pay a $2 on my back. Are you cheating? I'm gonna put a zero in if you're cheating. I'm like, I don't make me. How much of classroom management is bluffing? Right? A hundred percent. You know what? I'm gonna give y'all opportunity to start businesses, right? And they had to write up a proposal. No, but they did the background. But these kids was racking up that $50. How many less is Lily? He was getting my kids in debt. Well, hello, Teachers Off Duty family.

okay at least you don't dress like a teenage boy. Hey, I say that's comfortable. This is my little wardrobe, okay? I tried to dress girly for a little minute and I was over it. You're like, just take to me. It can be uncomfortable. It really can be uncomfortable. Yeah. The kids I got this year's no limit soldiers, I can't, I can't get a time of dress kid. Yeah.
