Hey, this is Meredith.

You know, sometimes God intentionally draws us into places where we are most afraid in order to walk us through them.

That's something I heard Jamie Winship say.

Jamie is the guy who shared his story on page 168 of the unfolding.

He's the former Washington, D.C. police officer.

He was recruited by the CIA.

He spent over 25 years living in some of the most dangerous conflict zones in the Middle East and Asia.

Fascinating story.

And I've been listening to a lot of Jamie's talks. And Jamie says this, out of God's kindness,

he leads us into places that scare us. And he says, I'm going to walk ahead of you, I'm going to walk

with you. We're going to go into this together and then you're

going to come out on the other side of it and you'll never be afraid of that thing again.

Well, since I heard Jamie say that, I've seen lots of evidence in my life that it's true. So here's

something about me. For as long as I can remember, I've been afraid of not having enough,

not enough money, not enough time that I won't be enough for the people around me. Not a good

enough wife or mother or employee. But a big one for me has been the fear of not having enough

money. And I think God is trying to teach me to trust him and let go of

that fear. So about eight weeks ago, I had the privilege of traveling to Nicaragua. I went with a group of

people from the Northwestern Media Radio Network. And we traveled with folks from one child.

It's this wonderful child sponsorship organization.
