Hi, this is Unfolding producer Jason Racco.

Today we're going to hear an update from John Carachian.

John shares Jesus in such a natural conversational way, and he credits it all to God, and a chocolate lab named Buddy.

A few years back, Meredith shared the story of John Carrakean and Buddy on the unfolding page 45.

In 2019, John's beloved chocolate lab Buddy passed away.

But before that, John, who is so outgoing, and Buddy, who is so friendly, had gotten to know

hundreds of people on their daily walk. So when John suddenly stopped showing up after Buddy died,

the neighbors wondered what happened. This prompted John to put up

signs to let people know what had happened to Buddy. Neighbors responded by placing mementos on his

lawn to honor Buddy's life. And as John continued chatting with them, it opened the door to

invite hundreds of people to a special Easter service at his church. In invitation, he later extended to Christmas

as well. And so year after year, these gatherings have continued. The Buddy Brigade. And it's led

right up to this most recent Christmas. Ever since Meredith had John in the show, he's continued

using this mustard seed of a story to share Jesus with

as many people as he can. Hi, my name is John Karakian. I live in Novi, Michigan. And I want to tell

you a quick story here about my chocolate lab buddy. He really brought a lot of people closer to the

Lord. And he passed away in 2019. I know it's been four or five years,

but since then the connection he made with people through God granted that little Chalkat

Lab favor with people during this point in time in history when dogs are really a big deal
