Let's talk about forgiveness today.

You know, this is one of my favorite topics because of how complex and layered it is.

And that's the thing, whatever me and Zana are saying, this is from our point of view.

It might not fit everybody, again, because it's very layered.

And I feel like, I don't know about you

zana but whatever you know whatever you are forgiving will most likely forever be etched into your

memory like I feel like forgiving doesn't mean you have to necessarily forget what that person did to

or the situation you found yourself in and more often than not you can't control the situation you found

yourself in I feel like a lot of times you're laughing right now, but it's true.

Like, we literally can't control everything around us.

There's more things out there that we can't control than we can.

But the one thing that you can take control of is how you'll move forward from it.

And sometimes I think we choose to forgive others, not for the sake of them, but for our own sanity.

Because whether it's a little fight that you have with your husband or a long resentment you have with an ex-friend, unresolved conflict can go deeper than we even realize.

And it not only can affect our mental health, but I think our physical health as well.

And we don't necessarily see it that way.

You know, I feel like sometimes it takes longer for us to forgive somebody because we find

ourselves thinking, well, they don't deserve my forgiveness. They wronged me. I feel like we focus

so much on what has been done to us that it only allows us to continue becoming angrier.

Our hearts are even being more hardened. And it's like we're drowning

ourselves in the shortcomings of others rather than focusing on healing ourselves and moving forward.
