Exodus chapter 6, verses 6 through 8.

And as I read these verses, I want you to just try to count the number of times you hear the phrase, I will. This is

God speaking to his people. Just count the number of times. He tells them, I will do this. So here's

verse six. Say therefore to the people of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched charm and with great acts of judgment.

I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who has

brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you into the land that I swore

to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the Lord.

I don't know if you were able to keep count, but I count it seven

times in these three verses where God uses those words. I will. These verses are just filled

with promises from God. I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this. And Moses is

learning. When God makes promises, you can bank your life on what he has said. And that's the

encouragement I want to give you today. I was just thinking this morning about all the promises of God that are a rock-solid

foundation for me to stand on today.

Just think about that.
