As a listener of my show, you are already well aware of my family's connection to the spirit realm.

My teen cousin Ella had been showing interest in tarot and deity worship

so to celebrate her graduation from high school, my sister Sabrina and I thought it would be fun to have a magical weekend retreat together.

So on the night of the full moon, we lit a bonfire, performed rituals, and played psychic games.

Ella had never played the cube game before.

The psychology game where your answer reveals something about your subconscious, and so we decided to play.

We instructed Ella to close her eyes and picture an empty field.

And it was at that moment Ella said,

I see a man in a hat to my right.

And I asked, in the field or here with us, she said both.

She said he had a fedora-like hat and was just standing there.

She gestured to her right to show us where he was, and then the motion sensor light covering that area turned on.

I asked her if she'd ever heard of the hat man before, and she hadn't.

I explained that it was a common phenomenon seen all over the world.

Sometimes he appears during episodes of sleep paralysis.
