And I just encourage you today to just keep your focus in the right place.

Because if you keep your eyes on Jesus, you'll keep the peace of Jesus.

But if you keep your eyes on the world, you'll lose the peace that comes by being in relationship with Jesus Christ.

So keep your focus on Jesus.

Keep your focus on the king of kings and the Lord of Lords.

Well, our scriptural text today that we're coming from is 1 Samuel chapter 13 and verse 14. Notice here the word of the Lord.

But now your kingdom must end. For the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart, the Lord has already appointed him to be the

leader of his people because you've not kept the Lord's command. I'm talking today from the

subject simply unexpected turns. Unexpected turns. We are living today in a day of what I would consider to be unexpected turns.

I would never have imagined growing up in the 70s that we would be living in a day with the kind of morality that we have in America today.

And not just in America, but it's around the world.

Certain things that we're dealing with, our, particularly here in America, our individualistic consumerism, our flippant sexuality, our emotional immaturity that we deal with.

And I never thought that I would see the day that we would actually experience what I would call political idolatry.

And the type of racial inequities that we deal with in racial hostility that we are are faced with

in this country and in places in various places around the world.

But please understand, I'm not a politician and this is not a political message.

I want you to understand that very, very clearly.

This is not a political message dealing with Democrats very clearly. This is not a political message dealing

with Democrats and Republicans. This is not about a donkey nor an elephant. This is about a lamb,

the lamb of God that was slain before the foundation of the world. And so I want you to understand

unequivocably today that this is a kingdom message
