Summary

As we prepare for Thanksgiving, public health officials and government leaders are warning against some of the holiday rituals done every year due to the rise of COVID-19 cases. The CDC issued guidance advising Americans not to travel for the upcoming holiday because it could increase the chance of getting the coronavirus. Governors are setting their own restrictions as some states have already enacted curfews and guidance, including New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who announced that indoor gatherings at private homes can consist of no more than 10 people this year. Former assistant U.S. attorney and Fox News Contributor Andrew McCarthy weighs in on the new guidance and if the government can legally enforce it. As the United States is seeing coronavirus cases surge, millions of kids across America are, yet again, attending school virtually. Many districts from California to New York have closed their classrooms. And it's making some kids more socially distant than ever. Tom Kersting, licensed psychotherapist and author of "Disconnected; How To Reconnect Our Digitally Distracted Kids," joins to discuss how remote learning will have a negative impact on students, and what parents can do better in regard to monitoring screen time for both learning and pleasure. Plus, commentary by author and the vice president of communications for Focus on the Family Paul Batura. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
