Good afternoon. In the interest of time, I'm going to begin announcements just a moment early so that we can

allow our special guests to have the benefit of the full a lot of time. So we welcome you all to this

two o'clock interfaith lecture series. I'm Robert Franklin, Director of the Department of Religion,

a few quick announcements. Audio recordings of today's lecture will be available at the

amphitheater, gazebo later this afternoon. Video discs may also be ordered at the gazebo and picked

up later. You've already heard the announcement about representatives from Chautauqua Dialogues

that will be on hand in front of the whole of missions. Please take advantage of that wonderful

opportunity to meet on Friday at 3.30 to discuss all of the weeks to a clock interfaith lectures

and presentations. However, you must sign up to be given a location. Social hours will be held

in all denominational houses this afternoon at 3.15 and all are welcome. Would be knitters are

invited to a knitting workshop at 4.30 on the Methodist House front porch. This weekly event is

co-sponsored by women for women knitting for peace. Bible study at the Methodist House will not

be held this evening because of the old first night celebration in the amphitheater at 7.30.

Finally, would like you all to know and take special note of the fact that this program will be

simulcast today now to a clock in the interfaith in the hall of Christ. And that happens daily and

this seems like an opportune time to be there if you can and if you're not under the roof.

I'm also asked to alert those who are under the trees to be advised that that is not
