0:45.3	raining feathers. So welcome to the institute. I'm Liz Armstrong, curator of contemporary art,
0:53.7	and we are very pleased to be hosting the second live interview with Christa Tippett.
0:58.9	For her show and broadcast of On Being. As many of you know, Christa was here two months ago
1:04.8	when she spoke with Anne Hamilton and what was a fascinating and far-reaching conversation.
1:10.2	They covered everything from the spiritual act of art making to the strange intimacy of museums
1:16.1	where people can be alone together. This interview and that one were presented in conjunction
1:24.5	with the exhibition currently on view in our target wing simply called Sacred, which is a series
1:30.5	of installations that probe the nature of the sacred within a secular multi-faith society.
1:36.8	By juxtaposing works of art from multiple times and places, the sacred exhibition invites
1:42.3	visitors to explore historic and contemporary expressions of the divine, the spiritual,
1:48.4	the essential, and the beloved, and to ponder the words meaning in their personal lives.
