We are kicking off unearthed this season with a look at Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War.

These are topics that have come up on unearthed a lot of times at this point.

In particular, we have talked about the discovery of mass graves in Spain,

connected to the war, and efforts to identify the bodies in them

and return them to family members wherever possible.

We have also talked last year about Spain's Parliament voting to exume the remains

of dictator Francisco Franco and relocate them somewhere.
