Hello listeners how are you I hope you're well and enjoying our new monthly episode format

it's more in keeping with the whole till the moon rises again thing isn't it

every month or nearly every, there's a new moon, and now with it a new

episode of Underwood and Flinch.

Oh, I think it's really cool. And so this is Saga episode 101. Season 6

episode 3 which at Patreon corresponds to episode 48 of Underwood and Flinch Underground

and in it we will be returning to the company of the dastardly Miss Lydia Flinch.

Over the years there have been a number of polls on what actors would play which character

and almost every time the actress who tops the Lydia Pole

is Eva Green, who you will probably remember as Vespolind from Casino Royale.

For me, I don't know, I don't actually see or channel anyone when I write Lydia chapters or inhabit the role for my

podcast. She's just Lydia. She lives in a place in my brain as do all the

characters and I just step into her.

She has her own personality and mannerisms speaks with her own voice,

but she doesn't have a face as such.

I don't see her anymore. I did when I first started writing her. I've

told you this before but I'll tell you again in case she's forgotten. Do you remember

the HBO TV series Rome?

Well I based Lydia on Polly Walker's portrayal of Attia of the Juli

I thought she was a great character, stole every scene she was in, and for me, personally, Lydia does too, which is nice.
