Summary

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 74 Recent events in the Middle East, namely between Israel and "Palestine," have thrust the Postcolonial Theory branch of Woke Marxism into stark and stunning relief in a very short time. The world is quickly learning that "decolonization" is always meant to be violent, and the Islamist jihad against Israel is a project supported by the whole of the global Left, including especially the Woke Marxist Left throughout the West. People are horrified, rightly, but what's needed is clarity. In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay explains the Woke mindset on settler-colonialism and tries to help make sense of what appears to be violent Woke madness once again. Hey everyone this is James Lindsay you're listening to another exciting episode of

0:15.1

new discourses bullets where I give a short bullet point summary of a single

0:19.9

topic from woke Marxism that we need to understand so that we can defeat it.

0:24.4

And today it's settler colonialism.

0:27.0

And we have to talk about that not just because it's a part of woke Marxism and something

0:30.5

we should have been talking about obviously a little while ago as history has now indicated to us.

0:36.0

But because it's everywhere because we are now dealing with our failure to deal with settler colonialism as a woke concept already, not that we would have if

0:47.3

we'd been talking about it.

0:49.8

This of course is most obvious in that right now with the conflict between Israel and the

0:55.8

parts of the Arab world designated as Palestine is that Israel is labeled the

1:02.1

big bad evil settler colonialist project

1:05.0

by their antagonists.

1:08.4

And what does that mean?

1:12.4

I mean, they say that in 1948 Israel was brought in by European forces and settled the area on the back of European colonialism and has pushed these people out of their homes and livelihoods, blah, blah, blah, and here we are 70 some odd years later and nobody's moved on, everybody's mad and there's going to be an intifada which

1:36.4

means shaking off of Jews through the the chanting of from the river to the sea Palestine will be free which everybody knows means free from Jews and so the idea is that

1:50.6

Israel is a

1:52.4

illegitimate aggressor state representing Western values injected into Arab lands in the Middle East.

2:01.0

That's a claim that makes some settler colonialist. Now there's a huge

2:05.7

double standard around this concept that you've surely heard. For example, isn't this gigantic immigrant invasion, whether we're talking about America across its southern border,

2:18.0

which are mostly coming from South America, but some are coming from all over the world, and who knows who they are or what they are,

2:25.0

and they're settling in the United States illegally as border jumpers.

2:29.0

Aren't that, isn't that an immigrant invade? Isn't that settler colonialism? What about the people coming in from
