Welcome to Middays, I'm Susie Larson, so honored to get to spend this time with you.

In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day

That hopefully inspire you in your faith walk, the deep in your understanding of God's Word,

and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Now, I don't want to make a deal of Halloween,

but I'm going to, just for a moment, I don't know if you've ever noticed. I notice it every year

around this time. Spiritual warfare tends to increase, and I'm not someone who says that there's

a demon behind every brush. Definitely not. But have you noticed?

It just seems like the air is sharper. More things go wrong. And we've just had our share behind

the scenes of technical issues. And one of them is getting our guest on the line today.

And again, not calling everything warfare, but if you just knew some of the things that have gone on

behind the scenes where we're

scrambling. But then God always does deliver. And today we're talking about the idea that the

word of God is living and alive. And it's such an important message, and it looks like we got our

girl today. She writes this. She says, we want to experience God through the Bible. We really do.

But our good intentions fall flat when

reading the Bible just doesn't seem to make that happen. What should feel dynamic and important and

alive often feels confusing, boring, and irrelevant. Nicole Eunice joins me today to talk about her book,
