This morning I want to talk to you about

understanding righteousness and I'd like you to open your Bible to Romans chapter 5.

I'm doing a series called How to Succeed

at being yourself, how to succeed at being the person that God has created you to be, how to break out of those boxes that society has built for you or other people have built for you.

Enjoy freedom, enjoy your life, enjoy yourself.

And I think to do that, that we have to understand righteousness.

To ever enjoy your life, you have to understand righteousness.

Romans 5 beginning in verse 1.

Therefore since we are justified,

acquitted and declared righteous and given a right standing with God.

Now the word justified is found throughout scripture, and it's an important word if you

understand because when a person is justified it means they have

been made just as if they never sinned. Now think about that for a minute. That

means that you could rewind and go all the way back to the beginning before you ever did one
