It's the Underdogs podcast back with another dog bite. Jordan Brenner joined by Peter Keating as

always, if you heard our podcast yesterday, and if you didn't, what's wrong with you,

you might have noticed that Colorado is doing some interesting things in college football,

but you might not know another piece of the puzzle. So Peter Keating, what's going on with

Colorado that you might not have noticed, and how can that help a gambler or two?

They're playing fast, Jordan. They're playing so fast, so much faster than last year,

when they were one of the slowest pace teams in football, about 64 plays a game. They're at 85 now,

that it's got to be decision-making by the staff. Not just that they're so good, they get more

plays because they're doing better, but they are up tempo, which I think Dion Sanders and his

staff want to be disruptive to opponents. This is flying in the face of a big rules change in

college football this year, which is that the clock will no longer stop on first downs, outside

of the last two minutes in each half. So that rules change was supposed to slow things down,

supposed to knock a few plays off of each half for all teams that are playing. And because of that,

it's actually a bit controversial. I mean, Chip Kelly, let me make sure I have this quote right.

Chip Kelly, at the end of UCLA's first game, said, we had four drives in the first half.

Hope you guys are selling a lot of commercials. Lane Kiffin said, when you go to see Morgan Wallen

So there are coaches who didn't like that, you know, a couple of percentage points being knocked
