0:44.6

our listeners named Tom. I have a question about praying for the elderly who are sick.

0:52.1

I have a 90-plus-year-old father father-in-law who's a retired Baptist minister,

0:57.0

who often goes into the hospital for physical needs and repose requests for prayer.

1:04.0

1:29.9

1:37.1

Well, Tom, thank you for that question. Yes, there have been instances where I will pray for

1:42.8

1:44.8

1:51.8

to the point where, you know, the Lord is bringing us home to be with him. We've lived the life of

1:57.0

faith, trusting in him, trusting in his promises. I think of what Paul said in Philippians

2:02.0

chapter one, where he's sort of going back and forth. He's talking to the Philippians about how,

2:05.7

you know, soon he thief himself departing to be with Christ. And he knows that that's better

2:10.7

than anything else in this world. He's torn because he wants to continue to serve the Philippians and to encourage the churches.

2:21.1

And so he says, you know, I don't know what to choose for me to live as Christ to die is gain.
