about Under Siege, we're talking about it with our great friend Josh Gondelman, and

I am one of your hosts Alex Steed, I will soon be joined by my tremendous co-host Sarah

Marshall. Under Siege, for the uninitiated is a 1992 American action thriller film directed

by Andrew Davis, written by J.F. Lawton, and starring Steven Segal as a former Navy

seal who must intercept a group of mercenaries led by Tommy Lee Jones as they commandeer

the US Navy battleship Missouri. So typically we cover movies on this show where we use them

to discuss our feelings or examine our feelings and one way or another, examine the feelings

of our guests. But we were on a boat. We were on a boat with our wonderful esteemed guest

Josh Gondelman, who's been on the show a couple of times before to talk about sad

Bill Murray movies. But you're listening here to a recording of our first live episode.

We were on the Joko Cruise as entertainment. We had this conversation about Under Siege

and we had a conversation about Under Siege because it's a movie that takes place on

a boat. Because we were all on a boat, themes. So this is a bit of a sillier episode than

the ones that we typically do, but you know, it made sense. But you know, sometimes the

feelings that we want to explore are humor and one of the best ways to do that is by

laughing your way through an hour-long conversation about a Steven Segal, Tommy Lee Jones, and Gary

BC movie. Anyway, the boat we were on was the Joko Cruise. We were guests of the Joko
