The Prime Minister has called for an urgent, transparent investigation into the deaths of three brave British aid workers killed by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.

James Henderson, John Chapman and James Kirby were among seven people killed whilst working for the humanitarian group World Central Kitchen.

Israel's Prime Minister said the strikes were unintended, but also said this happens in wartime.

Meanwhile, the head of the Israeli Defence Forces has apologized for the catastrophic blunder.

This incident was a grave mistake.
