We've covered this futuristic under display front facing camera situation a little bit and we had these like short clips that the manufacturers that are working on this technology

were willing to show us on social media.

That is until now there's a report coming from Engadget China I believe in Shanghai there's a trade show

MWC the Asian version of course there's the the popular show in Barcelona that happens every year but

there's a China version as well it takes place in Shanghai and some reporters

got their hands on the early version of this underscreen front facing camera.

And it gives us our first glimpse and a lot more insight into the potential benefits and drawbacks of course of a technology

like this.

So the, I mean I don't know if I'm surprised, I don't think I would say I'm surprised but it appears there's there's a there's a kind of substantial drawback to this technology as it stands right now and some of the photos in within this particular report showcase those

drawbacks if you look closely especially if you put the the camera or your eyeballs on an angle, you can pick up this kind of

screen door looking pixel layout that exists over top of the section in which your front facing camera is going to have to look through.

So even though the demos seem to make it look as though the screen would just turn off in a location where the camera would then be activated

on the front end and you would get something that looks like a typical bezel.

This layout that we're seeing or this implementation that we're seeing in these

images makes it look as though you still have a kind of notch there it's a

different notch it's not nearly as offensive as a completely

blacked out notch, but instead it's like this notch out where you can just sense this

discrepancy in the display and pixel layout.

So apparently this is not the finished product.

This is, I mean you could just tell looking at these images.

The phone itself has this weird like case around it.

It's not ready for primetime and it's not the completed version.
