You know, we hear a lot about Donald Trump's war on immigrants, on African Americans, and on women.

But we don't hear a lot about his war on LGBTQ Americans.

However, it's very real and very dangerous.

In fact, the most gay-friendly presidential administration and history under Barack Obama

has been followed by the least gay-friendly administration under Donald Trump,

which was in the Supreme Court just last

week arguing that employers should be able to fire workers just because they happen to be gay,

lesbian, or trans. We wanted to know more about that, so we sat down with Alfonso David,

the dynamic new head of the human rights campaign,

the nation's largest gay rights organization at HRC's headquarters in Washington.

So I want to ask you, in the wake of the most gay-friendly administration ever, we're now almost

three years into the Trump administration.

What's the status of the LGBT community under Donald Trump?

How do you see it? I see the community,

the LGBTQ community under direct attack from the Trump and the Pence administration.

Donald Trump has, even before he became president, but certainly since, used the LGBTQ community as a target.

And he has strategically and systematically sought to strip away protections that the community

has had, treat them differently than others, and ostracize them. There are so many
