Summary

Mammon is a sneaky, hateful, evil spirit whose main goal is to steal, kill, and destroy. It readily attaches itself to money and does its best to get us to trust wealth more than God. It always contradicts the word of God, and attempts to persuade us to develop a wrong relationship with money. As Christians, we must be careful not to allow ourselves to be lured away from the Spirit of God and fall under the rule of the spirit of mammon. Studying what the Bible says about money will open our eyes to the work of this spirit so we can recognize it for what it is.

0:21.2	the book of Luke chapter 16 Luke chapter 16 and Luke chapter 16 for the sake of time the story or the point of this parable, Jesus is teaching about a steward that could not be trusted, an
0:48.1	unfaithful steward.
0:51.6	And of course a steward is one who manages the goods and the funds and properties of another.
0:57.0	But this particular steward was not faithful with his lord's money and because he was not faithful with his
1:05.2	lord's money he lost his stewardship and so the context here is talking about a steward who was not faithful with money.
1:18.0	Please don't try to make it anything other than what the context says.
1:22.0	Jesus is talking about money and he comes down to
1:24.7	verse 10 and he says that this money is the least. It's not well Jesus is now
1:31.6	using this as the category to set up a principle.
1:34.5	There are principles that are established here, but Jesus is making it very plain,
1:39.0	the least is money.
1:41.5	Say that.
1:42.4	The least is money. So for so long in religion we've not looked at it that way but in
1:49.3	context Jesus now calls the least money and guys I'm going to have to get another
1:57.5	background that that contrasts with the white and I can't see the words it's

2:08.0	So in verse 10 he says, he that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in the much and he that is
2:18.6	unjust in the least is unjust also on the much. So what Jesus was literally saying here is he
