I am so excited to have my guest here today.

She is not only my guest, but she is my friend.

And her name is Lindy Kennedy.

And we are going to talk about some really interesting stuff today.

I hope you guys have an

open mind. I hope that you can hear her out, hear her story and what she's been through and

hopefully we'll expose some of the things that maybe some of you've never heard about before.

So, Lindy, hi, friend. Hi, I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to have you here, sister. You guys, Lindy and I,

we had a kind of a funny way of meeting, right? Like, Lindy's friend is sisters with my friend,

and we kind of followed each other on Instagram, and we got to meet in person at a retreat with The Root of Truth, and I got the privilege to baptize Lindy, and we got to meet in person at a retreat with The Rooted Truth. And I got the

privilege to baptize Lindy. And we've just been friends ever since. And she's just a joy. And I'm so

excited to just side into your journey. So you have quite a story. And I want you to just feel free

to share as much as you want to share. And again, you guys, I want to encourage you to have an open mind. This is Lindy's story. It's what she's been through. And, you know, we want to hear her out. Okay, Lindy. So let's start out just how you were raised. Tell us a little bit about your family growing up, what that looked like.

And then we'll jump into more of our topic today.

Sure.

I grew up in a very religious household.

Both of my parents were converts to the LDS religion referred to as Mormons. And they both grew up in L.A. and broken

homes. And, you know, they both had missionaries come to their doors or my dad was playing

basketball with the missionaries. And they have a really beautiful way of bringing people in

and giving them community.

And so both of my parents had fatherless homes, single moms.
