0:52.7	My guest today is Dr Chris Norton, Egyptologist, writer and
0:57.0	broadcaster. Dr. Norton served as the director, CEO of the Egypt Exploration Society from
1:04.1	2012 to 2016. He was also the elected president of the International Association of Egyptologists from 2015
1:13.6	to 2019.
1:15.6	Alongside these significant career accomplishments, Dr. Norton has published two books,
1:21.6	searching for the lost tombs of Egypt in 2018 and Egyptologist notebooks coming September 2020. His research interests include
1:30.3	the history of archaeology and Egyptology as a science, and the history of the 25th,
1:37.3	or Kushite dynasty, a line of pharaohs whose deeds are a fascinating part of Egyptian history.
1:45.0	Recently, Dr. Norton has been hosting a series of online lectures for the Egypt Exploration Society.
1:52.0	Among other topics, he covers the history of Arcanaten City, Amana, as an ancient community and as an archaeological site, one where many generations have worked
