First and foremost, apologies that this podcast is coming so late in the week after obviously a very exciting win against Miami for Florida State.

Seven in a row for the Seminoles over the Hurricanes.

It's the second time that has been done in this series,

but certainly the first time in quite a while that Florida State has had that kind of streak.

And it continues Jimbo Fisher's ownership of in-state rivals at Florida State,

certainly something that even if the year itself is a little disappointing,

it's a good way for Fisher to maintain both fan goodwill and also recruiting momentum in the state.

This was a game where really I think Florida State needed to win this game for the program moving forward. And in many respects, I think we may be able to look back on this game in a couple years, a few years.

I wonder whether we're going to be able to look back on this game as sort of the,

as sort of a pivot point or a fulcrum point for Florida State as a whole for where the

program went after this game.

Because quite frankly, with Mark Richt at Florida,ida or at uh miami and mark rick

starting to uh to build a a good product there and and put together a uh a program on on that field

that's a better cultural fit with what miami has done previously and i think we saw it in this game that that is clearly happening, this was a game that Florida State couldn't

really lose because, you know, that first year coach gets a win in the first year in the series,
