What's your word for 2026? Hey everybody, Joe Simons, like diamonds. I am in the midst of traveling to cold Mendesota right now.

Wish I was doing some ice fishing or something cool, but I'm not, unfortunately, some work stuff I have to go up here for.

So I just did not have time to record a podcast but it got me thinking my

wife and I we got a lot of stuff going on right now. We're redoing our entire house, meaning we're

having to move out in a family of five and no one's that helpful, uh, meaning kids aren't in terms of,

you know, packing and moving all their stuff. It has been a lot. And just with the new year and

everything else, my wife's like, we didn't

really talk about our word for the year. And I had three written down, but honestly hadn't really

decided on one yet. Kind of slipped my mind. And so, yes, I screw up as well. Even though I've done

multiple podcasts about this on kind of choosing a word for the year and listening to God.

And it's really, really powerful every time I've done it, which has been every year for, I think,

six or seven years. It is amazing what has happened in my life around that word.

It's almost unexplainable. And I might have to do a whole separate podcast just about it.

So I look back to see if I did a podcast on this and I had. So I did one way, way back in

2020, if you can believe it, that was like early on in the unchurched podcast series.

It was a really, really cool and really unique one. It still gets downloads today, even

what, six years later. So I wanted to replay this one for you guys. Just a

great reminder to do this, to have this be part of something that you do and your spouse and

even your whole family can get around. It is really, really magical what can happen and how God

can really, really use that word in your lives. So don't rush into it. Some people can take your time with

pray over. And sometimes I just keep hearing a certain word over and over again. I, from people

talking about it to hearing it on the radio or, you know, having it in written word. It's wild
