Hey, everybody, Joe Simons, like diamonds.

I am back.

New Year, New Year of Unchurched.

I took a couple weeks off, if you might have noticed. And that was

mostly just because there was a lot going on in the holidays. We ended up traveling quite a bit,

went back and forth to Georgia a couple different times and had family in town. There was a,

there's just a lot. And so I said, you know what, I'm going to take a

hiatus, a sabbatical, if you will, for a couple weeks. And it was really, really good. I highly

suggest all of you do that regardless of your occupation, retirement, et cetera. Sometimes just

good. Say no to some things you've done for a long, long time. I've done unchurched pretty consecutively

for, what, five years now? Only missed a couple of weeks, and it felt good. Same with the normal

saltstone podcast. We just took a little pause. So I'm back, energized, pumped. And I want to tell

you a true story. So over the past, I want to say 35 days, essentially from Thanksgiving to Christmas,

I flew two different times and had two completely different experiences.

And one of them really hit me hard at the point.

I teared up, which I don't know that I've ever done on a flight with an experience
