Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Prime Minister, denied reports that he had agreed to a cease

fire for humanitarian aid and the evacuation of foreigners in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Anthony Blinken, America's Secretary of State, said that the Rafa border crossing

between Egypt and the Gaza Strip would be reopened to deliver aid to the besieged enclave.

But Hamas said that it had not received confirmation from Egypt that the border would open.

The UN said that hospitals in Gaza have less than 24 hours of fuel reserves left, putting

thousands of lives at risk.

The Israel Defense Forces said that at least 199 people are being held hostage by Hamas

more than it had previously estimated.

Separately, Joe Biden warned that an Israeli occupation of Gaza would be a big mistake.

In an interview with CBS, America's President said Hamas must be eliminated entirely, but

there needs to be a path to a Palestinian state.
