I'll write that. So I'll refrain from doing that. So, you know, it took three days, but we finally

0:35.3

got to biology, which I think, as you'll see,

0:39.7

is the messiest of the three sciences that we're going to talk about.

0:45.3

And for me, the most interesting, obviously.

0:47.7

And it's interesting.

0:50.5

I think when we talked about physics in particular, and chemistry to some

0:55.0

extent, there's this idea that we have this really good, the mathematical relationships. We know

1:00.3

really well, but do the entities exist, do the bonds exist? And I think in my own, sort of the

1:05.6

opposite, we're pretty sure that bacteria exists, pretty sure you all exist, but what are the mathematical

1:11.3

relationship? How do I predict how you or how bacteria and so forth is going to respond?

1:17.9

And that's where a lot of the uncertainty is. So the talk, I'm going to focus on two aspects

1:25.1

of uncertainty. And the first is the ability to predict and the

1:29.5

limitations of prediction of what an organism is going to do so hey here's the

1:34.7

initial state that we find the organism in how do we predict what it might do

1:40.4

given these conditions and what are the limitations to? And I think that they're severely limited,

1:46.2

and that there's a very high degree uncertainty

1:49.7

that will never be held overcombe.
