Yes that sound of course means that it's time for our Christian non-Christian discussion.

And today we've got a Buddhist and a Christian with me in the studio.

Now I don't think there's actually going to be a lot of disagreement to be honest on the program today

because we're talking about reactions to violence particularly in the context of those

noble pictures of monks marching in the face of the repressive military regime in Burma and so

that's our subject today. How did Buddhist view the whole issue of violence and

nonviolence? Certainly it's a precept of Buddhism that they do

no violence to anyone and we're going to be looking at that in a Christian context
