0:00.0	Okay, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the Word
0:12.0	of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 4-12 that tells us that the Word is alive and
0:17.4	active. We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God is
0:22.5	going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege.
0:27.0	You turn with me, please, to Leviticus 10. We are continuing our series on the priesthood,
0:33.6	and boy, do we have a lesson before us today? So you might just want to buckle up and get ready.
0:42.7	Our text, our primary text for today is Leviticus 10 versus 1 through 3. But before we go there,
0:49.4	I just want you to glance back and want you to recall where we've been. If you've not been part
0:54.0	of our series, and let me get you up to speed just a little bit on where we are. We've been
0:59.6	looking at this from the perspective of the New Testament holy priesthood. We are priests of God.
1:06.6	We have what we call a priesthood of believers. So the class and I are going back. We've gone
1:12.5	all the way back to Genesis, all the way back to Genesis 4 to Canaan. Abel, you'll remember,
1:16.8	we then studied Melchizedek. Then we began our search of Exodus where we could understand
1:22.6	the parameters and the preparations of the priesthood. We've done all of those things so that we
1:28.4	can go to the passages that will tell us what it means when people who are predominantly Gentile
1:37.2	in background are trying to comprehend what it means to be told that we are a holy priesthood.
1:43.3	Because if we had a Hebrew background and we'd come from an Orthodox kind of study life,
1:49.3	we would have some kind of a grasp of this, but because we don't, you and I have to go seek this
1:55.2	out so that we've got some kind of grasp of what it means to be called a priest of God. Meanwhile,
2:03.6	this is when Moses is up on the mountain receiving the instruction of how the priest would be
2:10.3	dressed for holiness. We're upon their heads a turbine very much like what would be considered
2:16.6	to them a royal kind of headdress with an inscription on it that said, holy to the Lord,
