These researchers used artificial intelligence to see if they could sway the opinions of regular people,

and the results are raising some concerns.

Meanwhile, chat GPT has been accused of intentionally manipulating users' emotions

with a brand new feature, and now Open AI is rolling back that feature. Also, Secretary of State

Marco Rubio is saying they have uncovered files at the State Department showing that Americans

were being classified as, quote, purveyors of

A secret brainwashing experiment was conducted on Reddit of all places by unauthorized researchers from the University of Zurich.

Now look, these researchers, what they did is this. They used AI or artificial intelligence, and they wanted to see if they could change people's opinions, just normal people on the web, right?

The results are actually raising concerns now over some of the potential uses of even public AI.

Now, like, first off on how that whole thing took place, this is the verge. It says this.

Commentators in the popular subreddit are, Change My Mind, found out last weekend that they've been majorly duped

for months. This went on for months. It says University of Zurich researchers set out to, quote,

investigate the persuasiveness of large language models, LLMs, in natural online environments,

meaning just the normal intranet, of course.

It says they did this by unleashing bots pretending to be a trauma counselor,

a black man, opposed to Black Lives Matter, and a sexual assault survivor of unwitting posters.

Now, on this point, what it did was this. It obviously created individuals

that would have some kind of either perceived credibility or some reason to feel sorry for the person.
