Hello and welcome to White Wine Question Time, the podcast that our sits guest to three

thought-provoking questions over three glasses of wine.

And my guest this week was one-fifth of the Saturday's, but prior to joining the band,

she honed her craft, spending her evenings and weekends giggling around her native island,

carrying her own PA system and guitar playing in any bar or venue that would have her.

Born to a GP father and a mother that loved to sing, her uncle was a big country music

star back home in Ireland, so music was always a part of family life.

And while she gig by night, she hedged her bets and studied nursing and teaching by day,

before taking the leap to make music her full-time focus when she jumped the ferry to London

at 23 to start a new chapter in her professional music life.

Very quickly, she successfully auditioned for the Saturday's and the group propelled her

to international stardom.

As a band clocked up hit after hit, she met fell in love and then married rugby star Ben Foden,

and they went on to have two children together, a son and a daughter.

Life looked rosy, and despite the band calling time and taking a break to pursue solo careers,

she was happy raising her children in England whilst establishing herself as a country artist,

heading out to Nashville to work with some of country music's biggest names.

Then life, as she knew it changed, just as she was about to relocate to New York for

a husband's work, their marriage came to an end.

As a result of his infidelity and whilst he moved to the stage, she and their children

stayed in London, eventually moving back to Ireland last year after the first lockdown.

He quickly fell into a new marriage just two weeks after meeting his now wife, and they
