In a highly unusual move, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterresh has tried to ensure

the deteriorating situation in Gaza is discussed as soon as possible by the Security

Council. In a letter to members of the Council, Mr Guterresch warned of a collapse of the

humanitarian system in the territory.
