You know, the story of the Yankees last night really was Luis Castillo being great for the Mariners,

but also coming out of this game, the Yankees five for five in ABS challenges.

Now, a lot of these were low strikes that were just under the zone that the home plane umpire was missing.

But still, five for five at Aaron Boone's chirping at the umpire. And by the way, that that's an umpire was missing but still five for five at Aaron Boone's chirping

at the umpire.

And by the way, that that's an umpire that you know likes to call a low strike. Well, but he, right, exactly. He was calling the low strike and he was wrong every time, it seemed like. So, and the Yankees have been all over this. I mean, you got to give him credit. But this, and I guess I'll say this for a couple

more times because there's really no reason saying the same exact thing. The way that they rolled

this thing out is idiotic. It just is. If you've got the ability to do this, just do it for every

pitch. That's all you have to do. What's amazing when you see the guy tap at his helmet, how quickly the umpire turns around and says challenge. Yeah, yeah. And then literally up comes on the screen, the challenge box, and you see where the ball is. It's so quick. It is so quick. I mean, that umpire had a tough night. Yeah. Well, of course. But then again, like, we're talking, this is why, another reason why they just need to do this for every single pitch. I mean, we're talking like, you know, tenths of an inch. Yeah. Right. So if we're going to sit there and the Yankees are going to be right, and other teams are going to be right about a tenth of an inch between a strike and a ball. and we've got to sit there. Now, it doesn't take long, but still you do it at five times. It's embarrassing the umpire.

I mean, and I still, you could still have a home played umpire in every single game that has a

responsibility without cutting his salary.

So the umpire's union shouldn't have an issue with this. So it's not going to happen this year. This is the way that it's going to go this year. There's going to be other examples. Now, for example, they were talking about on the broadcast last night, you know, the catcher for the Cardinals has gotten all of them wrong. And he got one wrong last night as well, where he thought it was a strike and it was a ball and it was like, you know, three-tenths of an inch off the plate. So not everybody's getting it right, but it's just a waste. Even though it's quick, it's still a waste of time. Yeah, and plus it, you know, the thing about it is I feel like at home watching these games, I want to challenge it.

Well, yeah, that's the other part of this.

It's like it really is distracting as a viewer when the box is still up there.

And every single pitch, you're like, are they going to challenge?

You should have challenged it.

Well, it was like on, I think it was on Saturday when Keith and Ronnie were saying,

why would you not challenge if you were the pirates when you have both challenges left and you're in the ninth inning?
