Our special guest this week is attorney George Conway, also a contributing

columnist to the Washington Post. So thank you one and all. George, great to have you. Let's start with the war. Wars have a way of

clarifying things for people. On December 10th, 1941, the America First Committee, which had many

prominent members including John F. Kennedy and of course Charles Lindbergh, disbanded.

Obviously that was three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

And we see echoes of this in the reaction of some Republicans to Putin.

There had been a lot of sidling up to him on the part of nationalists and

Trumpkins in America, and that that seems to be

subsiding but we'll get to that in a minute I want to begin though with just a

scene setter for what's happening because the war, according to most analysts, is not going according to

Putin's plan. He grossly miscalculated and thought that it was going to be a few days of

fair where the Ukrainians would simply surrender well of course they're putting up

stiff resistance and so the war is getting ugly not that any war is ever not ugly, but as his

Putin's want he is making war on civilians. So George I'm going to start with you. You've been tweeting about this.
