Ukrainian troops are holding on to territory across the border in Western Russia.

The soldiers who I visited at their position were incredibly relaxed.

Many of them were not wearing protective gear.

They were cooking dumplings outside on a fire

and just walking around.

Some were shirtless.

Today on the show we take you to those areas of Ukrainian

occupied Russia also in parts of Syria and Iraq ISIS is regrouping.

We've seen this the group start to use car bombs and suicide car bombs again for the first time in years

larger groups of fighters attacking larger more fixed targets oil and gas

facilities for example. Plus landing a performance slot at Edinburgh Fringe isn't always

all that. It did affect my mental health. Oh it was a disaster and I paid a big price

for it financially and personally.

We start this Monday in Ukraine and what's being called a double offensive.

In one combat zone to the east, Russian troops are pummeling Ukrainian positions in Donutsk, making incremental gains every day,

but at the same time Ukrainian troops are pushing north

deeper inside the Kursk region of Russia, continuing a surprise offensive that

began two weeks ago.
