Thanks David, it's good to be back. Amongst other things I was doing quite a lot of historical

reading while Star was away, particularly about the Crimean War of 1853-56, which is of course

a subject that's hugely relevant to all of this, and isn't really one we've managed to talk about

in-depth yet, and so hopefully there will be an opportunity to do so in the coming weeks.

But turning to the present, presentry of China is planning to travel to Russia to meet

Putin as early as next week. People who are familiar with the matter have told us.

It comes off the back, of course, of Putin hosting China's top diplomat in Moscow last month,

and then they signaled that she would travel to Russia, but I think the timing of this is perhaps

much earlier than people anticipated, and no doubt will cause concern amongst Western diplomats.
