Nearly two years since it launched its invasion and a decade after it annexed Crimea, Russia's objective in Ukraine

remains the same to subjugate the whole country. However, the Kremlin has no plan on how to do it. That is the latest assessment from

Western security officials. Russia recently achieved its first major victory in

nine months with the capture of the ruined eastern town of Avdivka.

However, the Russian military is also reported to have lost as many as 60 soldiers on Tuesday

and a Ukrainian missile strike on a training ground at 70
